WellFort is seeking a Managing Director!

WellFort is a non-profit, values based organization that provides health promotion and prevention programs, primary and oral health care and works with local residents and other agencies to increase community capacity. Members of the WellFort family include Bloom Clinic, Bramalea CHC, Diabetes Education Program, Four Corners, and Health n’ Smiles. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides support, leadership and supervision to primary care, allied, community and medical administration staff
  • Improves organizational success in all staff functions through the lens of diversity, inclusion, and equity by implementing best practices, appropriate evaluation processes, and measuring organizational benchmarks within a shared care model
  • Ensures clinical excellence through the hiring, supervision, training and development of the multi-disciplinary professional staff
  • With staff monitors trends to plan/promote innovative and effective services and initiatives
  • Works with staff to develop best practice guidelines, protocols, policies and procedures
  • Ensures service excellence through a variety of quality improvement methodologies
  • With the leadership team develops and implements organizational directions, policies and procedures; prepares reports and develops proposals for new services
  • Develops positive relationships with community leaders and other service agencies
  • Ensures that programs and services are consistent with the strategic and operational plans and adhere to WellFort values
  • Oversees the provision of clinical services, programs, community development, advocacy initiatives and volunteer services
  • Participates in consultations, networks, advocacy activities, and community development
  • Develops positive relationships with community leaders and other service agencies
  • Monitors and prepares budget submissions in consultation with the Manager, Finance and Operations, the CEO, and Health Centre staff

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in human or health services, public administration or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated ability to provide effective leadership and management, and to work flexibly and effectively in an interdisciplinary team environment
  • A minimum of seven years’ experience in supervision and the progressive management of inter-disciplinary teams with at least two years in a changing health environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in planning, evaluation and quality monitoring systems
  • Knowledge of community based primary health care, determinants of health, public policy within the health sector, current issues and resources
  • Demonstrates sound knowledge of anti-oppression and a willingness to continue this work or must be willing to learn and embrace anti-oppression principles on both a professional and personal level
  • Ability to speak languages relevant to residents of the Region of Peel an asset

This position requires flexibility in hours of work to support accessible program service delivery and our hours of operation. As such the position entails evening and weekend work.

Salary range: $68,485 - $82,513 with benefits including HOOPP
